Forest anemones, wood anemones or white forest anemones are frequent spring flowers in both, country of my origin Latvia, and Ontario, Canada, place of my current residence. Views with anemones in bloom always inspire me, and I have painted them in watercolor, acrylic and pastel. This particular painting pictures close-up view of these white flowers around and old tree trunk. Image descends in distance and has a beautiful contrast between bright white, spring greens and tree trunk colors.
Painting has square format and it looks very attractive with all edges painted, thus, extending the image beyond front.
